1. The essentials, in three lines

Legends XI is free and it is a fan project, with no official connection to anyone in football. Your account is yours and it is personal. The site is provided as is, and the card ratings are argued opinion — not official fact.

2. By using the site, you accept this

These terms apply to anyone using Legends XI, with or without an account. If you disagree with something written here, the answer is not to use the site — and, if you have an account, to ask for it to be deleted.

3. What the service is, and what it does not guarantee

Legends XI is free and is provided as is. Which means, without dressing it up: it may be unavailable, it may have bugs, it may change, and it may one day stop existing.

• There is no guarantee that the site is always up.
• There is no guarantee that campaign data is kept forever.
• Features may change or disappear without notice.

None of this is an intention — it is the honest description of a personal project kept running by one person. If something important changes, it is said on the site.

4. Your account

The account is personal and it is yours. Keep the password safe: whoever has it signs in as you, and the site has no way of telling the two of you apart.

• Use an email address you actually have access to — that is how the account is confirmed.
• One person, one account. Accounts are not for reselling and not for sharing.
• You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, at the contact address.

5. Supporting the project

Supporting Legends XI with a donation is always voluntary: nobody is charged, there is no automatic subscription, and no feature in the game requires payment. It is a decision reserved for people over 18.

6. What you do not do here

The list is short, and it is the one you would expect:

• Do not try to get into anyone else's account, and do not work around the site's protections.
• Do not automate requests to the point of degrading the service for other people.
• Do not copy the site's content in bulk to republish it elsewhere.
• Do not choose a display name that is an insult, that impersonates someone, or that advertises anything.
• Do not use the site for anything illegal.

If it happens, the account may be suspended or deleted and the display name may be changed. There is no formal process behind this: it is one person looking at the case.

7. This site is not official

Legends XI is a fan project. It has no official connection to any federation, league, club, competition, player, or to the trademarks of any of them. It is not sponsored, endorsed, licensed or authorised by any of those parties.

Player, club and competition names appear here as factual references to sporting facts that happened: who played for whom, in which season, and what he did in that competition. Every name, badge or trademark belongs to its respective holder, and is used here to identify what is being talked about.

If you are a rights holder and want to talk about anything on the site, write to legendsxifut@gmail.com. Every message about that is read and answered.

8. The writing and the ratings are the author's work

The editorial part of this site — the rating of each card, the argument behind each competition's icons, the methodology, and the text of these pages — was written for Legends XI and is the author's work.

You may quote it, with attribution and a link back to the page it came from. What you may not do is copy it wholesale to another site, credited or not.

9. Liability

This is a game. Card ratings are an argued opinion about sporting performance, not official fact, and should not be used as though they were — not for betting, not for schoolwork, and not in any argument that needs a real source.

To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for losses arising from using the site, from not being able to use it, or from relying on something here that turns out to be wrong. What he does is fix the error once somebody points it out.

10. Privacy

What the site stores about you, why, for how long, and how to ask for it to be deleted, is all written somewhere else — and that page is part of these terms.

11. These terms may change

They may, and they probably will — the site is still growing. When they change, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and that is what tells you whether it is worth reading again.
